There are Some Benefits to the Rennovations...

The venue has obtained some welcome upgrades in the bathrooms and the sound system.  A working toilet and sink raise the comfort level (and sanitation standards) after an evening of drinking, and the new sound system blows away listeners with huge hanging speakers over the stage.  Also, loungers need no longer beware the broken chairs, as new (mostly padded) chairs allow people to sit comfortably without worrying that they will fall to the floor in a collapse.

Patrons Will Still Pay

Despite a bland new coat of paint, people will keep coming. Dull brown walls won’t keep the bands away.  In fact, working bathrooms and a safer loading stairwell may encourage more bands to come. Therefore, as long as there are bands, there will be paying patrons.
