As a journalism major, I spent the Spring and Summer of 2006 working for The Daily Iowan student newspaper.

There, I was given a couple of opportunities to write about my thoughts, feelings, and experiences in the months before and after I became a father.

My first column, Dad Dreams, explored my reaction to the first ultrasound test in which I received some very shocking news and my feelings as I approached fatherhood.
