In March of 2004 I
spent two weeks in Chile, experiencing some of the unique culture
of the most prosperous country in South America. During my travels
I spent time in the capital Santiago, the Lakes Region, the island
of Chiloe and fished the Nireguao River in southern Chile.
Each region
in Chile had its own unique characteristics and traditions.
From Santiago, a city of 5 million and 1/3 of the country's
population to Coyhaique, a small town in southern Chile, each
area contained different options for the American traveler.Through
this site I hope to give a sense of this beautiful country
and maybe inspire some to experience Chile.
